About Us

The Schleisingerville to Slinger Historical Museum was founded in November of 2019. A history sub committee of the Slinger 150th planning committee was assembled in late 2018 and it was decides that they would have some temporary exhibits of historical items put together over 2019 for the Village's 150th Anniversary. It was such a success with approximately 3500 people viewing the exhibits that the Village and sub committee got together and decided to approach the Village Board with the plan for a permanent museum. In November the Village Trustees voted to approve the museum funding for the first three years. On July 28th, 2020 the museum had its Grand Opening after months of remodeling. SSHM is a self funded 501C3 non profit and is run by 100% volunteer help. We hope to serve the community for many years to come.
